With facilities in Europe, the United States and Asia, Eurofins Genomics is an internationally leading provider of DNA sequencing services, genotyping services, DNA synthesis products and bioinformatics services for pharma, diagnostics, food, agriculture, biotechnological and research markets.
Genomics business is enabled by global engineering teams working on next-generation e-Commerce applications and Laboratory information management systems (LIMS). As a Senior leader, you will leverage your extensive technical expertise on Microsoft stack to understand the current business process, improve and expand end-to-end architecture for a suite of applications in Genomics portfolio in collaboration with other Architects. These are sophisticated computer programs that will be used by our Academica and Industrial clients. The product you design, and deliver is strategic to the success of Genomics business line
Primary Responsibilities:
In this role as Technical/Solution Architect, you will be responsible for design of new components, reducing the technical debt and refactoring the application for performance and maintainability. Working closely with diverse stakeholders, you will deliver a product that exceeds expectations and drives innovation. You will be empowered to influence and drive key technology and architecture decisions and with your leadership skills, navigate the complex Eurofins network. We are looking for leaders who will uphold the high-performance culture at Eurofins and as a Lead Architect, you will interface with the Enterprise Architecture team, Development Teams and Business and lead teams of Architects who will look up to you for support and guidance every day.
Specific Assignments:
- Drive the technology and architecture of next generation e-Commerce platform for Genomics B2B and B2C business.
- Lead a team of Architects to drive best in class design and architecture practices aligning with Business needs and constraints
- Prioritize and provide solutions for Technical debt for improving the application maintainability
- Create POC for solution approaches. Be a hands on leader
- Collaborate and work with enterprise architects to drive the Eurofins group architecture practices to the Genomics program
- Work with Infrastructure teams to drive and optimize the Application deployment landscape
- With strong experience on Azure or any cloud platform, drive the solutions to optimize the cloud resources for better solutions and reduced cost
- Coach and mentor team members to increase the technical competency in the team by drivig the Community of Practice.
- Focus on Application security needs of application and proactively address security gaps
- Emphasis on design tools and documentation.
- Troubleshoot Problem incidents.
Skills required:
- Experience building and maintaining e-Commerce platforms
- Extensive experience with SOA and Domain Driven Development and Micro service architectures
- Expertise in server side .Net technologies
- Strong orientation towards Performance tuning and optimization with Microsoft technologies
- Experience with responsive web application development such as Angular
- Strong experience in an Agile development environment
- Good exposure to Devops, Monitoring tools and deployment infrastructure
- Experience in Cloud technologies, preferably Azure
- Exposure to Information security
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in IT Application/Software development with atleast 1 end-end product development experience
- Experience of at least 1 enterprise eCommerce application from concept to delivery
- Working experience with Product development organizations of Pedigree
Tech Stack:
- Architecture patterns and practices, CMS solutions, Design tools like Visio, Angular, .NET Core, Azure Cloud, SQL Server, CosmosDB, WebAPI, Devops Tools, Code quality and security tools
