Lead Product Manager - Compliance

About the team:

Join us on our journey as a Senior Product Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping how money is sent worldwide. As a Senior Product Manager for Regulatory Risk reporting to our VP of Product, you will be responsible for implementing elegant solutions that ensure we operate within the terms of our licences and regulatory framework without adding any unnecessary friction. If you want to significantly impact the fintech industry, drive technological advancements, and collaborate with a team of forward-thinkers, we would love to have you on board.

Here’s what you’ll be doing as Senior Product Manager:

  • Ensuring a high level of adherence to regulations, license conditions, and contractual obligations
  • Overseeing full user and product compliance with sanctions, PEP regulations, and reporting requirements, collaborating with the 2LOD
  • Actively engaging in the product life cycle, from design through to post-launch monitoring, to identify and manage regulatory risk
  • Seeking opportunities to minimize AML and KYC friction in customer journeys, challenging traditional interpretations where relevant
  • Staying up to date with current and upcoming legislation, as well as the evolution of risk
  • Maintaining a strong documentation trail to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Fostering a high level of collaboration within the product team and with operational compliance teams and C-level executives

You’ll report to our VP of Product.

Here’s what we’d love from our new Senior Product Manager:

  • Experience in fintech
  • Strong understanding of GDPR, payment systems, and PSD2
  • 2+ years of experience in Compliance, Risk, AML, or Financial Crime fields with a solid grasp of related processes and regulations across different markets
  • 2+ years of product management experience building digital products at scale, with a proven track record of end-to-end product delivery in an agile environment
  • Focus on outcomes, not just outputs
  • A problem-solving mindset with a strong analytical approach, using data to inform decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across different functions and levels, including external partners
  • Confidence in discussing complex business topics such as finance, compliance, and commercial strategy, and shaping outcomes to meet both customer needs and business goals
  • Fluency in English

And if you can also do this stuff, even better:

  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with scaling products in international markets
  • Prior exposure to working with executive-level stakeholders
