The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our Design Systems team and lead our Restaurant platforms. This individual will work closely with our Consumer platforms team and more broadly, a global team of product managers, product & brand designers, engineers, and data scientists to establish design systems foundations and practices that will meaningfully impact diners and restaurants worldwide.

The Lead Product Designer is an influential design partner embedded in our UX team, where they will not only pair closely with product development colleagues to establish and streamline design systems processes, build foundations, and modernize our approach as technology evolves but also create and drive forward the vision for what design systems could be here at OpenTable. This individual will work collaboratively with partners to define the roadmap and prioritize where to focus our efforts on design systems, maintain high-quality libraries and documentation, drive design systems advocacy, adoption, and education, and provide support for product development in successfully implementing and utilizing the system.

Please apply if you have:

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates broad knowledge and experience in implementing, and maintaining successful, scalable, and flexible design systems across brands and platforms
  • Experience working through all stages of the design process; from capturing insights and feedback to ideating, building, implementing, and testing
  • Deep expertise in iOS, Android, and responsive web, with a proficient understanding of nuances and best practices cross-platform
  • Exceptional visual design skills, thinking about accessibility at every stage
  • Extensive experience designing and building systems for B2B products
  • Partner management skills and the ability to build consensus across multiple disciplines
  • Strong systems- and analytical-thinking
  • Great storytelling, presenting, and interpretation skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A high level of collaboration and communication
  • You value introspection and feedback to improve yourself, your team, and your products.
