Hi, we're Oscar Medical Group. We're hiring a Lead Physician to join our Primary Care team.

About the role:

You will deliver quality care to a panel of patients as part of a multidisciplinary team of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Medical Assistant in a virtual environment. You will oversee a team of APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care to their patients and supporting them in Oscar strategic initiatives.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $210,560 - $276,360 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, annual vacation grant of up to 18 days per year and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct high quality, safe patient care via telemedicine (video, phone, messaging) while working with a multidisciplinary team
  • Provide supervision to a group of APPs (NPs and PAs) who are delivering care in a virtual environment and provide professional & clinical growth
  • Clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed (APPs, RNs, MAs)
  • Support development of clinical guidelines, continuous improvement of care model, and participate in collaborative projects with Operations and Product team members as a clinical leader
  • Conduct quality assurance audits in addition to required state supervisory audit requirements
  • Ensure a culture of patient safety
  • Be accountable for the quality of care of your patients and ensure superior member experience
  • Conduct service recovery needs for Oscar patients
  • Provide growth and development of your team including management of poor performance
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an ACGME accredited medical school
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds
  • 5+ years of outpatient primary care experience
  • Prior telehealth experience
  • 1+ years experience in supervising teams, including other clinical staff
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC
  • Experience in APP supervision

Bonus points:

  • Spanish language fluency
  • Experience being metrics driven in a practice setting as it relates to population health management, quality benchmarks, cost of care, and productivity
  • Six sigma or programmatic management experience

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
