Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Responsible for Develop ML based solutions that aid in the curation and augmentation of one of the largest international entertainment data sets in the world.

Required:

  • Proven track record of building modern Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing based solutions.
  • Proficiency with at least one common Deep Learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Proficiency in Python and a data query language (e.g. SQL)Proven track record of writing understandable, maintainable and testable code.
  • Experience with standard software development best practices such as unit testing, code reviews, and version control.
  • Experience or strong interest working with cloud computing (preferably AWS).
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as required.
  • Willingness to work in a fully remote position as part of a distributed team.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning or related field

Desired:

  • An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in computer science, artificial intelligence, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning or related field.
  • Experience working on LLM based Text Generation problems.
  • Experience working on multilingual problems.
  • Experience merging and deduplicating large datasets.
  • Experience building internal review/labeling tools.
  • Proficiency in Spark using PySpark or Scala

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $66,000-$225,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location.  The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs
