The role of Lead Geophysical Engineer - Offshore Wind acts as the main interface to the Head of Structure and Marine and the project teams for progressing offshore wind projects.
The Responsibilities for the Lead Geophysical Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Execute and integrate geological and geophysical work activities in a cross-disciplinary team for offshore wind projects
- Manage geophysical capabilities (in-house and hired) in offshore wind projects
- Planning, specification, tender evaluation and follow-up of geophysical and seismic acquisition for offshore site investigations
- Geophysical and seismic interpretation
- Geo-risk management
- Geophysical data management
- Manage Statkraft’ s engagement in offshore wind geophysical research and development
- Contribute to the build-up of Statkraft’ s wider technical management capabilities in offshore wind
- MSc degree, or higher, in geophysics or geoscience
- Extensive experience in marine geophysics and geology, preferably from the offshore or offshore wind industry
- Working experience from cross functional teams and multi-company projects
- Technical interest and drive to develop capabilities and processes
- Fluent English written and oral communication skills
- Relationship builder with the ability to collaborate constructively with business and functional leaders
- High personal integrity and high ethical standards
- Strong HSS understanding and commitment
