ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Lead Facilities Technician.
The Lead Facilities Technician is responsible for all activities related to the maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems within a property. The duties may include the maintenance and operations of HVACR equipment and controls. Other systems may include chilled water systems, boilers, refrigeration systems and other mechanical or electrical building systems. The Lead Facilities Technician must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsiblities:
- Oversees building operations and prepares work progress reports and metrics for manager review
- Follow safe practices and complies with company and regulatory standards
- Operate heating and ventilating equipment, engines, turbines, motors, combustion engines, pumps, air compressors, ice and refrigerating machines, air conditioning units, fans and siphons in assigned client site
- Collaborate with both internal and external customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations and failure investigations
- Provide engineering support for a wide range of systems, maintenance programs, engines as well as operational engineering functions
- Analyze and seek solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance or repair of vehicles/equipment and their components
- Define a maintenance program or configuration to troubleshoot issues and ensure a safe and legal operation
- Review Service Bulletins (SBs) from manufacturers or component manufacturers
- Develop solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project implementation and coordinate warranty recovery on SBs that are applicable
- Organize and manage priorities for assigned responsibilities and accomplish the work process to meet all deliverable for projects as well as maintenance program changes and technical specification revisions
- Coordinate work with other operational groups to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- 8+ years progressive operations experience preferred. Experience that is commensurate with the specific facility for the position of Lead Building Engineer.
- Prior experience with managing operations at large portfolio of buildings
- Strong knowledge of electrical, UPS and emergency power systems
- California Fire Pump Certification
- Experience in work planning, scheduling and managing a large group of Stationary Engineers.
- Highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC, plus universal level refrigerant recovery license
- BOMA accredited courses desirable
- High-rise Fire Safety Director, Haz-Mat Certification, Indoor Air Quality Certification, LEED Certification preferred
- Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required
- Working knowledge of energy conservation required, formal training preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong employee relation skills, coaching and training skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Computer skills and building automation systems experience required
