As the Lead, Events and Community Spaces at MoTIV, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of all events and for ensuring the optimal utilization and management of MoTIV’s creative spaces. Your goal is to create high-impact, memorable experiences that engage the MoTIV community, including creatives, entrepreneurs, and partners. You will ensure that events are aligned with MoTIV’s mission and that spaces are used effectively to foster innovation, collaboration, and community building.
1. Event Management

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute an annual events calendar that supports MoTIV’s vision, encompassing community festivals, workshops, networking events, product launches, and more.

Event Execution: Plan, coordinate, and oversee all MoTIV events, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, meet attendance targets, and create value for attendees.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, innovation, and partnerships, as well as external vendors, sponsors, and partners, to ensure seamless event delivery.

Event Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to promote events and drive participation, ensuring strong engagement from the MoTIV community and external audiences.
2. Community Space Management

Maximizing Space Utilization: Manage and oversee MoTIV’s creative spaces (including event venues, co-working spaces, maker spaces, and studios), ensuring they are utilized to their full potential.

Scheduling and Bookings: Manage the calendar for space bookings, balancing the needs of internal teams, community members, and external partners.

Space Design and Setup: Collaborate with the design and facilities teams to ensure that spaces are well-maintained, creatively designed, and conducive to collaboration and creativity.

Maintenance Oversight: Ensure that all spaces are regularly maintained, safe, and ready for use, coordinating with the facilities team to address any issues.
3. Community Engagement and Experience Curation

Curating Unique Experiences: Design and deliver community experiences that resonate with MoTIV’s values, fostering creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.

Community Building: Engage with MoTIV’s members and partners to create events and initiatives that build a strong, connected community. Use feedback from participants to continuously improve the quality of events and space experiences.

Brand Alignment: Ensure that all events and space experiences align with MoTIV’s brand and contribute to its reputation as a leader in the creative and entrepreneurial sectors.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in event management, space management, or hospitality, with a preference for experience in creative or entrepreneurial environments.
- Track Record: Proven experience in managing large-scale and community-focused events, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative and Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to conceptualize and execute engaging events and space experiences that reflect MoTIV’s mission and values.
- You are creative with passion for delivering memorable and exemplary experiences
- Team Leadership and support to ensure an effective performance management system is in place to support performance, including setting clear expectations.
- You describe yourself as a self- starter that’s excited to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment and are passionate about building things (teams, companies, people)
