Job location

In this position, you have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Serbia, or you can choose to work from our offices in Belgrade (Airport City), depending on your preference.

A new team member should be Serbia-based, but we are also open to hear from candidates willing to relocate to Serbia.

About you and the role

As a Lead ABAP Developer, you will play a driving role in developing and delivering solutions with a real value for the user by:

• Creating and extending software solutions built on ABAP and further SAP technologies
• Shaping our top-notch product portfolio for the banking industry by developing innovative features based on state-of-the-art capabilities (e.g., Virtual Accounts)
• Leading the technical / architectural design for our innovative banking products and guide the development team in the right direction
• Being responsible for developing high-quality standard software based on an agile approach and in close collaboration with our product team and our international banking customers
• Being an inspirational leader and hire further exceptional talent to grow your team

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a software developer, including at least 5 years of ABAP / SAP development
• Experience with banking processes and products
• Proven hands-on experience with relevant technologies, e.g., OData, REST, S/4HANA, UI5/Fiori, Core Data Services, Restful Application Programming
• Ability to understand customer requirements and translate these into suitable software design / architectures
• Entrepreneurial spirit and start-up mindset combined with with a distinct willingness to learn, customer-oriented focus and service-based attitude and being used to a self-dependent approach to work
• Excellent, accurate, and effective oral and written communication skills in English
  
  

It would be nice if you have

• Multiple years of relevant experience with business processes and products in transactional banking, cards management or regulatory reporting
• Experience in leading a team of developers for solution implementation
• Exposure to SAP core banking and related products (such as Deposits Management, Payment Engine, Banking Services, Transactional Banking)
• Academic degree (BSc/MSc) in information technology, computer science, engineering, or comparable qualification
• German language knowledge (not required)
