About the job
The Domains & DNS team has been a pillar team for many years at Scaleway, as it works in one of the fundamental components of the Internet: the management of domains and DNS servers. Its action is not limited to the domain purchase product alone, it provides all Scaleway products with the domain name and DNS resolution solutions necessary for the proper functioning of our ecosystem.
Your missions will require programming, automation, and architecture skills. On top of your daily activities within your team, you will need to interact with all of Scaleway’s teams, especially Instances, Network, Hardware, and Platform.
Minimum Qualifications
- Tech skills:
- Languages: Go, Rust, C, C++
- Be fluent in Git and SQL
- Have an extensive understanding of DNS protocol
- Have an extensive understanding of DNSSEC
- Know that anything above 1500 bytes on internet UDP didn’t exist
- Have already work on a DNS server
- Familiarity with linux system high performance api especially io-network ones and appreciated io-storage
- Have a extensive understanding of the HTTP protocol and REST APIs
- Experience with gRPC and Protobuf
- Soft skills:
- Peer reviews
- Team spirit and mutual aid
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Autonomy and rigour
Responsibilities
- You will lead the DNS part of the team from a technical perspective:
- Work on a home made solution
- Drive the scale of DNS infrastructure
- Drive the implementation of new functionality
Preferred qualifications
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Infrastructure deployment with Ansible
- Good command of French & English
