Lead - Business Development - ANZ

Overview:

We are actively seeking a seasoned and results-driven Strategic Business Development Manager with a proven hunting background to join Freshworks' dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience as an Account Executive/BDM to source opportunities working closely with an Enterprise Account Executive in the Australia and New Zealand region. Your unique blend of BDM and Account Executive expertise will be instrumental in driving new business and expanding Freshworks' footprint in the ANZ enterprise market.

Responsibilities:

Hunting for Large Opportunities:

  • Apply your hunting background to identify and pursue high-value opportunities within the ANZ enterprise TAM.
  • Utilize a strategic approach to engage and win over senior executives/CXOs in target accounts.

Lead Generation and Qualification:

  • Leverage your experience as a BDM and Account Executive to conduct in-depth research and identify prospects with the highest potential for conversion.
  • Qualify leads based on a deep understanding of client needs and alignment with Freshworks' solutions.

Strategic Prospecting:

  • Implement a strategic prospecting plan, incorporating your hunting skills to penetrate and establish meaningful connections with enterprise-level accounts.
  • Utilize a multi-channel approach, including phone, email, and social media to engage prospects.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and messaging for targeted accounts.
  • Leverage your experience to bring valuable insights and contribute to the overall growth strategy.

Market and Industry Knowledge:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Share insights with the team on customer needs and preferences in the market

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-9 years of experience, with a background in Business Development and as an Account Executive for 1-2 years, in the SaaS industry.
  • Proven success in sourcing and closing high-value opportunities in the enterprise segment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels within an organization.
  • Deep understanding of the ANZ market, including industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales enablement platforms.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
