Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to Business Analytics Manager and works closely with functional leaders across the organisation to support key deliverables
- Design, build, and maintain published Tableau extracts and dashboards that will be utilised by all business orgs
- Lead and grow a highly engaged, impactful, and deeply cross-functional team that is data-driven and routinely executes for impact
- Own reporting and ad-hoc data requests from various business stakeholders
- Investigate data trends and anomalies within product and user flows and report back to key stakeholders
- Gather requirements, establish goals, make clear prioritisation decisions, and communicate to the stakeholders on progress towards analytical goals
- Guide your team and ensure outputs are on time and on target
- Lead data and reporting-related demonstrations or trainings for internal and external teams
- Strike the balance between maintaining high standards of analytical work and delivering value consistently
- Long term goal: Accelerate the organisation from basic reporting and analysis to predictive/prescriptive analytics
About You:
- At least eight (8) years of data analytics experience
- At least four (4) years as a supervisor or mentor to junior staff
- At least four (4) years of experience with BI visualisation tools, such as Tableau, Looker, or Data Studio
- At least two (2) years of experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Keen, Segment, or another web analytics platform and with querying raw data from these types of platforms
- Strong SQL skills (experience with BigQuery is a plus), including unnesting, window functions, and regular expressions (regex)
- A deep understanding of large, relational databases and how to leverage a wide-variety of data structures to drive insights
- Ability to translate business needs into effective visualisations and reports for business consumption
- Ability to communicate data to non-technical audiences through the use of reports and visualisations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience leading virtual meetings, demonstrations, and/or trainings
- Able to prioritise across different projects to focus on the highest-impact work and communicate those priorities to junior team members and/or stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail, along with the ability to “zoom out” to consider the larger goals
- Comfortable working remotely and collaboratively with teammates across multiple geographies and time zones
