We are looking for an experienced Lead Blow Molding / Injection Molding Process Technician to join our team on full-time basis. This role will be responsible for blow molding and supporting processes to ensure our products are made to specifications. You will have two employees assisting you who will operate the machines and provide technical support, but you will be the technical expert
Role Overview
- This is an opportunity to work for a progressive plastics manufacturer within a international based healthcare business, that provides a number of different products and services.
- The successful applicant will be responsible for the molding shift output, be highly organized to work in a structured environment, and must possess a 'can-do' attitude to deal with problem solving during the shift.
- The successful applicant will have extensive experience in problem solving and must have a strong mechanical aptitude. Experience in blow-molding and/or die-setting would be a significant advantage. The applicant will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment and adhering to company policies and procedures.
What you will do
- Work with a new production line making large blow molded products
- Maintain a safety focus in everything you do
- Identify and resolve machine and tooling issues
- Work with the production manager to set and meet production output targets
- Ensure all production equipment is outputting quality product
- Ensure preventative maintenance and repair activities are executed efficiently
- Work with the production team on continuous improvement projects
- Help new product development team with your technical process knowledge
- Work with external tooling, equipment suppliers and contractors when needed
- Become a leader in a small team with real potential for growth
Who are we looking for?
- Experience as a process technician promoting safety in a workplace
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Blow-molding and die change experience
- Strength in mentoring production operators
- Strong knowledge of workplace OH&S
