How you’ll change it up

Joining us as Lead BDUK Data Analyst, you'll manage a small team of Data Analysts who will carry out a variety of activities that are mainly focussed on geospatial and commercial assessment of publicly subsidised FTTP rollout plans.  You'll be vital to the producing effective short, medium and long term strategies, recommending areas of prioritisation and impact assessing strategic changes. Day to day, this is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Managing a team and prioritising work across the different BDUK regions
  • Responding to requests from senior stakeholders that require interrogation of BDUK datasets
  • Leading the analysis of rollout plans, monitoring the ongoing viability of existing plans whilst assessing new opportunities and providing sound cases for changes to scope

What you’ll bring to the role 

You'll already have some experience in a similar role, as well as detailed understanding and working knowledge of GIS applications such as QGIS, ArcGIS and ESRI. You'll also bring the following with you:

  • Strong analytic and reasoning skills; with practical experience using analysis tools such as SQL, FME, and Python
  • Experience supporting senior management to develop and provide regular reports supporting short and long range strategy for network deployment
  • Ability to collate and present analytical results in an insightful and interesting way to help the audience understand the concepts presented
