Lead Backend Developer

As a Backend Team Lead at AJW, you will lead our back-end development team, ensuring the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of our digital products. Your expertise in AWS, C#, .NET, Terraform, Oracle, and collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial in shaping our technology stack.

What you'll be doing:

Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical guidance to the back-end development team.
• Architect, design, and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
• Develop and optimize back-end systems using C# and .NET.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Manage Oracle databases, ensuring data security and performance.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with Digital engineering team, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Join forces with the infrastructure team to ensure seamless deployment and operation of back-end services.
• Team up with other digital leaders within AJW to identify, formulate and manage technology programmes.
• Work closely with the Digital Engineering Manager to align technical strategies with overall business goals.
• Collaborate on project planning, resource allocation, and prioritization

Documentation and Best Practices:

• Maintain technical documentation, recording development methods, procedures, and architectural decisions.
• Promote best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and adherence to SOLID principles.
• Champion knowledge sharing within the team.

Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of back-end developers.
• Set the vision and strategy for back-end development projects.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
