Lead Asset Protection Specialist - 12 month FTC

Joining us as a Lead Asset Protection Specialist

The Lead Asset Protection Specialist safeguards the CityFibre Network by overseeing civils and fibre construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and legal standards. You will monitor partner performance and ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.

You’ll receive a salary of up to £46,000pa, car allowance, performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Site Operations & Compliance: Ensure site operations comply with CityFibre specifications, NRSWA, and Health & Safety requirements; conduct audits and report risks to the Delivery Manager
  • Technical Expertise & Escalation: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for NRSWA, CDM regulations, civil engineering, and technical fibre queries; manage incidents and supplier coordination
  • Project Coordination & Documentation: Oversee and sign off on completed works with contractors, ensuring all post-installation and customer documentation is checked and submitted
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with Developers, Highways Departments, Local Authorities, and utilities to ensure project milestones are met; attend related meetings and prevent unauthorised diversionary works
  • Incident Response & Field Support: Provide support for planned events (PPM, outages, Section 81s) and front-line problem solving; conduct field investigations for damage claims and service failures

What you’ll bring to the role

You will be accomplished in OSP telecom network builds and utilities supervision, paired with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You’ll also have:

  • Experience in OSP telecom network build, including civils construction, cabling, and splicing, with strong utilities supervisory skills
  • NRSWA qualified with a solid understanding of CDM regulations, method statements, and risk assessments
  • Proven ability to manage contracted engineering works and mitigate project risks effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
