Lead Asset Integrity Engineer - Static Equipment

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. We are seeking a Lead Asset Integrity Engineer – Static Equipment to join our Operations Engineering team in Houston, TX with travel to the company’s sites (i.e., Calcasieu Pass, Plaquemines, etc.) as needed. 

  • This role reports to the Director, Reliability and Integrity Engineering and will be responsible for supporting all Operating Plants, providing specialized support as needed.
  • the Ready for Operations (RFO) activities, ensuring seamless transition of the facility from EPC to the operations phase.
  • Facilitation and attendance of ad-hoc workshops and studies.
  • Development of work processes and documentation.
  • Provision of governance through internal audits, balance and checks, peer reviews.
  • Support external audits.
  • Provide coaching, Mentoring, and training.
  • Interface and support Venture Global projects from concept through Operations.
  • The successful candidate shall be a technical generalist, with good working knowledge of gas processing plant equipment such as general machinery, piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, instrumentations and safety equipment.
  • The incumbent shall also be intimately familiar with associated specifications, codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI & ISO) and have a solid understanding of Integrity Engineering concepts.

 Responsibilities:

  • This incumbent shall provide support for groundwork support to the overall Asset Management Program by developing an Integrity Management Program for Fixed Equipment and Piping, with focus on, but not limited to the following areas:
    • Definition of Goals and Requirements.
      • Compliance with Codes and Regulations
      • Assurance of Company goals and targets
    • Organization and planning for integrity Engineering:
      • Baseline Inspections
      • Risk Based Inspections
      • Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Management
    • Implementation of Integrity Engineering processes.
      • Verification and Validation of the results.
      • Update and adjust Integrity Engineering plans as needed.
    • Perform data tracking and analysis.
      • Provide Forensic Engineering support.
      • Ensure Fitness for Service.
      • Develop and manage Integrity Key Process Indicators.
    • Organizational Learning.
      • Facilitate and support Root Cause and Failure Analyses.
      • Support Corrective and Preventive Action Items.
      • Provide specialized training.
      • Actively contribute with Risk Register, Lessons Learned and Manage of Change processes as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Education and Certifications: 
    • As a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
    • A Professional Engineering License would be a plus.

Experience: 

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a similar senior engineering capacity, with Mechanical and process plant equipment in an industrial setting.
  • Oil and Gas experience is required, with preference in LNG applications, however, petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
