We are an early stage startup in the AgTech industry who leverages cutting-edge AI technologies to build something extraordinary! We are seeking a passionate individual who is not only an expert in AI but who would also truly enjoy providing mentorship to the team and being hands-on in the development process.
We are looking for a Lead AI Developer to drive the development and deployment of advanced AI solutions employing the use of NLP, LLMs and other evolving AI technologies that enable our customers to provide superior service. This role involves architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable AI infrastructures while mentoring the team including junior developers and fostering a collaborative environment. Since we are in the early stages of commercialization, this individual should thrive in a dynamic environment and be energized by the fast-paced nature of our work.
Responsibilities & Qualifications are listed below:
AI/ML Development:
- Architect, design, and implement scalable AI/ML infrastructure and application stacks for the Ag Industry
- Evaluate, define and implement best practices in AI/ML, data ingestion, data mining, and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and refine test methods and processes that ensure a high level of quality and confidence.
Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and refine requirements for new business opportunities
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team to refine, lead, and contribute to transforming ideas into innovative commercial AI solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and provide hands-on guidance to a team of developers, fostering skill development, best practices and knowledge sharing.
Technical Leadership
- Document and refine architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and standard operating procedures for our AI-based solutions.
- Provide expert consultation on AI-related standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for AI computing infrastructure.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in AI and ML to enhance the company's capabilities and competitiveness.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in high-level architecture design and solution development for large-scale AI/ML systems.
- Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch), time series analysis, predictive modelling, and NLP.
- Proven track record in implementing AI/ML solutions in industry use cases, preferably in agriculture or related fields.
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Expertise in predictive analytics, machine learning, deep learning architectures, and text analytics with NLP
- Proficiency in Python for AI/ML; experience with graph databases, neural networks, and MLOps.
- Knowledge of high-performance AI computing platforms.
- Knowledge of C# is an asset but not required.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic thinking in systems capacity planning, hardware and software updates, and migration.
