We are seeking an experienced Lead Accountant who will handle accounting tasks, including local accounting and tax compliances, junior accountant supervision, and other ad-hoc reporting or compliance responsibilities assigned by the Finance Manager
Responsibilities
- Supervise or review daily accounting tasks performed by junior accountant / accountant to ensure meeting service level agreement
- Reporting pack generation via Group’s cloud reporting software
- Assist Finance Manager in annual audits
- Monitor, recommend and manage the quality of finance policies / processes
- Perform financial control testing and ensure any deficiencies found are appropriately documented along with suggested plan of remediation
- Lead in government reports submitted to PEZA, BIR and other govt. agency
- Support Finance Manager in others ad-hoc reports as required by the Studio / Group (e.g. budget preparations, cash flow projection, expense ledgers analysis…etc.)
- Possess high analytical skills to create detailed financial reports and forecasts.
- Leading in coordination with local studio stakeholders in monitoring/controlling expenses or spending planning.
- Main contact point for local tax consultants/partners for regulatory/statutory requirements or taking initiative to find best solutions on the market for local compliances
Requirements
- At least 5 years' total working experience in the related field preferably in a BPO or multinational company.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Audit
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Experience in working with international teams
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Willing to work on flexible hours
- Computer proficiency utilizing word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Expertise and hands on knowledge on NetSuite accounting software preferred
