As a Learning & Development Program Manager II on the Learning & Development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and facilitating training programs for Axon employees. This role involves analyzing training needs, creating learning strategies, collaborating with stakeholders, designing and developing courses, evaluating program effectiveness, and continuously improving learning initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance. You will build and scale initiatives focused on engineering management and leadership capabilities (EMDP), cross-cultural collaboration skills, new hire orientation, manager and personal effectiveness, public safety awareness, and English language skills improvement for the Axon Vietnam office and the broader APAC region. As an individual contributor, you will wear multiple hats across these key focus areas, helping teams strive for excellence and align with our ambitious moonshot goals.


What You’ll Do

Location: Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam (Hybrid)
Reports to: Senior Director, L&D

  • Serve as the custodian of Axon's new hire orientation (NHO), Engineering Manager Development Program (EMDP), English training program, and other L&D initiatives with a key focus in Vietnam and the broader APAC region. This role involves not only overseeing and managing these programs but also delivering them hands-on whenever necessary to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify current and future skills gaps within our organization, with a primary focus on the R&D team.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and engineering roadmap.
  • Design and deliver engaging and impactful learning programs utilizing a variety of instructional methods (e.g., instructor-led training, eLearning, blended learning).
  • Partner with external training providers to source and manage high-quality training solutions.
  • Collaborate with the global learning team to ensure consistency and best practices in learning delivery across the organization.
  • Facilitate individual and group training on a regular basis to promote knowledge sharing and skill development among employees across levels and departments.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and measure their impact on employee performance and business results.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development.
  • Foster a learning mindset within the organization.
  • Manage the L&D budget and resources effectively.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Adult Learning, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Passion for L&D and an understanding of technical talent needs.
  • Previous experience in managing and executing corporate training initiatives.
  • Ability to develop content for all modalities, including storyboard development, virtual presentations, and in-person workshops.
  • Technical experience with PowerPoint, iSpring, and WorkDay.
  • A self-starter with an inquisitive, collaborative, and can-do mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders to bring learning journeys to life.
  • Ability to break down problems and concepts to achieve impact through implementation.
  • Strong command of English and Vietnamese.
