Key Responsibilities
1. Expansion Strategy Development:
● Lead the development and execution of expansion strategies for the Last Mile
delivery services in alignment with company objectives.
● Identify target markets and assess their viability, considering factors such
as market size, competition, regulatory landscape, and logistical
infrastructure.
2. Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:
● Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends,
customer preferences, and opportunities for growth in the logistics sector
across Africa.
● Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to stay ahead of
industry trends and capitalize on untapped market segments.
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Building:
● Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
including e-commerce platforms, retailers, manufacturers, and logistics
service providers.
● Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions and
value-added services to enhance stakeholder satisfaction and loyalty.
4. Customer Acquisition and Retention:
● Develop and implement customer acquisition strategies to drive growth in
user base and increase market penetration.
● Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns to attract and retain
customers, leveraging digital marketing channels, social media, and other
promotional tactics.
5. Operational Optimization:
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operational
processes and enhance efficiency in Last-Mile delivery services.
● Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration to
improve service quality, reduce costs, and drive operational excellence.
6. Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
● Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of
growth initiatives and evaluate overall business performance.
● Conduct regular performance reviews and analyses to identify areas for
improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
7. Market Positioning and Brand Awareness:
● Develop and execute branding and positioning strategies to differentiate
our Last-Mile delivery services and build brand awareness in the target
markets.
● Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking
opportunities to enhance visibility and establish thought leadership in the
logistics sector.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related
field; MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification would be an added advantage.
● Proven track record of success in driving growth and expansion strategies,
preferably in the logistics or technology industry.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze market trends,
and develop actionable insights.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport
and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
● Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for innovation and
continuous improvement.
● Experience working in multicultural environments and familiarity with the African
business landscape is highly desirable.
