Summary:
Are you passionate about uncovering labor market trends and shaping the future of work? ZipRecruiter is seeking a Labor Economist to join ZipRecruiter Economic Research, the team known for breaking down labor market trends in the media. In this high-impact, individual contributor role, you’ll conduct original research, analyze labor market trends using public and proprietary data, and confidently deliver insights in media interviews. Successful performance in this 6-month, part-time position may lead to a full-time opportunity at the manager level.
We’re looking for someone who is media-savvy, able to distill data into soundbites, think on your feet, and navigate interviews with ease; customer-focused, communicating “why it matters” for diverse audiences; scrappy and adaptable, comfortable shifting priorities and building new programs; and data-driven, using econometric modeling and storytelling to shape conversations on hiring, wages, and the future of work. The US base pay range for this temporary contract position is $63.00/hr-$73.00/hr. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
