What do we do?

ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

What are we looking for?

As a Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing operations in our Espoo office. You will be responsible for providing essential lab support, conducting tests, and maintaining documentation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic lab environment within a manufacturing setting and be passionate about our mission.

Requirements

What you will do:

  • Provide daily laboratory support
  • Execute start-up and shutdown procedures for lab equipment
  • Track and perform preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment and instruments
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with teams to identify root causes of downtime
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
  • Conduct inspections of processing equipment and tools
  • Manage inventory of consumables
  • Read, interpret, and follow technical documents
  • Uphold 5S standards by maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient work environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certification
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in a lab environment

Preferred to have:

  • Experience working in aerospace, automotive, or similar manufacturing industries
  • Experience in a lab environment
  • Familiarity with Clean room environment
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to work closely with engineering, other technicians, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to identify and maintain priorities for tasks and projects while staying organized
  • Ability to rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working independently in a high-paced, challenging work environment with minimal oversight
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Willingness to travel for business trips
