Lab Support Technician - Temporary

About the job

The Laboratory Support Technician will be responsible for providing laboratory support for the onsite lab management team. The Technician will perform a variety of duties in support of laboratory maintenance and overall functionality for the facility users.

How you'll make an impact:

Waste management for all R&D and QC Labs.
Follows work instructions and standard operating procedures with accuracy.
Communicates daily results and summarizes progress with supervisor.
Maintains laboratory equipment performance up to standards.
Continuously reviews inventory supplies of R&D to determine inventory levels. This includes anticipating needed supplies; notifying the Lab Operation Specialist to place and/or expedite orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.

On your first day we'd like you to have

High school diploma (or currently working towards) or general education degree (GED) preferred.
General Lab Practices, General Computer Use, Verbal, Written, and Math skills.
Must be familiar with laboratory equipment.
Must work well within teams and across departments.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

Unique aspects of this job

Travel: No travel
Schedule: Part-time 2 days per week
Physical aspects: Standing, sitting, walking, repetitive movement, safe chemicals handling, safe lifting, etc.

Salary Range:

$17.95 per hour (hourly range for candidates based in San Jose, CA)
Compensation for the role is based on geographical location. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly.
Compensation also depends on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
