For our location in Leiden, we are looking for an enthusiastic Lab Support Technician to join our team.
In this position you will provide lab support to the team carrying our early development studies into new large molecule pharmaceuticals. You will be required to adhere to GxP guidelines, and your activities will include:
- Assembly of tubing sets (filtration, pump, glass bottles etc) to support fermentation studies;
- Autoclaving of materials to support lab studies;
- Aliquoting and measurements of samples as required;
- GxP sample handling and management
- Management of pipette rotations to allow for vendor calibrations;
- Re-supply of buffers and media in the lab;
- Re-supply of disposables in the lab;
- Inventory maintenance and management/ordering of raw materials and disposables in the warehouse;
- Cleaning and maintenance of glassware and other non-disposables;
- Equipment and lab cleanings;
- Equipment calibrations (spectrometer, pH meter, osmomat, SoloVPE etc);
- Participation in 5S lab checks;
- MLO degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences or related sciences;
- Experience in a pharmaceutical environment and knowledge of GxP is preferred;
- You are flexible and proactive;
- You enjoy working in a team and communicate well;
- You are accurate, and have great attention to detail;
- You can work independently;
- You are a quick learner who thrives in a dynamic environment;
- You are self-motivated with a positive attitude;
- You enjoy volunteering your ideas and working on continuously improving your environment.
- You are fluent in English (Spoken/written)
