Control Risks is looking for a Lab Operations Specialist to support our client’s Fraud & Piracy program. This role will drive and implement consistent operation models for testing & characterization lab parallel to supporting lab resources and users.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols and procedures
- Handle lab maintenance, day-to-day operational items, and procurement management
- Coordinate lab workload and facilitate shipping and receiving of samples
- Assist lab technicians in assembly and testing of sample devices and hardware systems
- Track and document test devices from initial involvement through final resolution
- Support evaluation of equipment and accessories to maintain and continually scale service offerings worldwide
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical engineering, Material science, Physics, or related fields
- 3+ years of experience with lab tools, including operational knowledge and equipment maintenance
- Experience in two or more of the following: mechanical prototypes, electrical testing, environmental testing, material characterization, and hardware root cause analysis.
- Experience with procurement and inventory control of supplies and equipment
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment protocols and procedures
- Ability to utilize, calibrate, and configure laboratory testing systems and instruments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and motivation to operate effectively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
