We are looking for compassionate and friendly teaching assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in a KS1 class.You will be working each day 08:30 to 15:30 in a Newport Primary school. The school itself has a fantastic reputation, with around 230 students on roll and holding awards for its Eco School contribution, as well as encouraging and nurturing a diverse pupil base.
This role is confirmed for the full academic year, beginning September 2024. Depending on experience, this role will pay £77-85 per day PAYE.
You will be:
• Creating lesson materials.
• Supporting the pupil with individual literacy and numeracy learning sessions.
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, it is necessary that you have had experience working with pupils aged 3-11 for at least 3 months over the last 2 years. Experience working with pupils with Autism / ASD on a 1:1 basis would be preferable but not essential.
