Strategic Planning and Opportunity Assessment
- Identify and assess opportunities in emerging therapeutic areas that align with the company's strategic objectives and growth plans.
- Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and forecasting to evaluate the market potential and commercial viability of new therapeutic areas.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to understand the pipeline assets and assess their fit within target therapeutic areas.
Business Development
- Create new idea to identify and evaluate business model such as potential partnerships, collaborations, and licensing opportunities to support the entry into new therapeutic areas.
- Support direct manager for feasibility assessments of potential business opportunities, including market size, competitive landscape, and regulatory considerations.
Business Planning and Execution
- Support direct manager to develop comprehensive business plans for entry into new therapeutic areas, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements. (Support direct manager for Go-To-Market Strategy development)
- Collaborate closely with Therapeutic Area Development, Market Access and cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, and Regulatory, to ensure alignment and integration of new business plans.
- Coordinate with global and regional teams to share insights, best practices, and leverage synergies across markets.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., MD, PharmD, MPH, MBA, PhD).
- Comprehensive experience (minimum 7 years) in strategic planning, business development, or commercial roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably with a focus on Ophthalmology.
- Strong understanding of the drug development process, regulatory environment, and commercialization considerations in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and financial modelling skills to assess business opportunities and evaluate market potential.
- High-level communication/negotiation/presentation skills to understand and persuade internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business plans, including market assessment, competitive analysis, and launch strategies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
