Under the direction of the KOHO Store Manager, the Key Holder plays a vital role in supporting store operations, people management, and product management, including inventory. Acting as a brand ambassador, they will embody our values, delivering exceptional, white-glove service to both customers and team members. This role requires a strong communicator, a proactive problem-solver, and a proven leader. Primarily stationed on the sales floor, the Key Holder will engage with customers, provide product knowledge support to the team, uphold visual and safety standards, enforce loss prevention practices, and actively drive sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Open and close the store during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth start-up and close-down procedures.
- Oversee the store’s security alarm system, verifying its functionality for safe operation.
- Securely store all sensitive information, products, and funds, including alarm codes, keys, and system passwords.
- Collaborate closely with the Store Manager to optimize inventory levels, communicate corporate updates to staff, and implement secure cash-handling practices.
- Manage inventory and product shelf life, promptly notifying the Store Manager of stock needs and updates.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment by coaching, motivating, training, and developing team members.
- Ensure each customer receives a unique and personalized shopping experience by properly training and guiding staff.
- Execute company directives and communications from the Store Manager, including operational policies, dress code, business initiatives, loss prevention, sales targets, and mall initiatives.
- Maintain a well-organized, clean store, focusing on areas like the cash wrap, stockroom, and office.
- Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation protocols for all products.
- Oversee product receipt and restocking to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Implement visual standards and directives from the Store Manager in a timely manner, according to scheduled dates.
- Execute promotions accurately and promptly as directed by the Store Manager.
- Support the Store Manager in managing ideal inventory levels, reporting any low or slow-moving stock.
- Regularly monitor product shelf life to ensure quality.
- Achieve or exceed daily sales goals, monitored through key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Demonstrate and model effective selling techniques, assisting with team training and coaching.
- Provide an exceptional, grand-class experience for every customer interaction.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring duties are performed and standards are upheld.
- Execute additional work-related tasks as assigned.
- Implement and maintain loss prevention, security, and safety protocols to safeguard company assets.
- Regular attendance is required for the position.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead role, preferably within a food retail environment.
- Ability to embody our brand and deliver memorable, high-quality customer experiences.
- Strong skills in verbal and written communication, interpersonal relations, organization, multitasking, time management, attention to detail, and business acumen.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, weekends, and evenings, as needed to support business demands.
