Position Summary:

The Key Account Manager is responsible for the successful commercialization of Ultragenyx products in the assigned territory. In this function, he/she will be accountable for attaining revenue and profitability goals and independently analyze the decision-making and patient referral patterns in the territory. He/she will drive initiatives to improve patient care by educating stakeholders.

Work Model: 

Field: Officially documented as working as a member of the Ultragenyx field team, generally interacting with third parties on behalf of Ultragenyx.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Independent continuous analysis of market potential, treatment paradigms and referral patterns in the assigned territory
  • Developing, executing and presenting account plans for key accounts in the territory
  • Analzying effectiveness of commercial tactics
  • Establishing sustainable, mutually beneficial relations to opinion leaders and other key stakeholders in the territory, leveraging personal contacts.
  • Optimizing patient care by aligning decision makers involved in relevant decisions (e.g. specialists, nurses, pharmacists, payers)
  • Developing and executing strategies to identify undiagnosed or misdiagnosed patients
  • Engage in regular exchange with peers to share best practices
  • Monitor changes in the health care system to identify new business opportunities
  • Support market access on a local level (regions and hospitals) to ensure patients have sustainable access to pharmaceutical innovation

Requirements:

  • University degree in Medicine/Biology/Chemistry/Pharmacy or equivalent degree
  • 3- 5 years of sales experience in secondary care with a proven success record in product launches in highly specialized therapeutic areas
  • Experienced in marketing and sales of Orphan Drugs
  • Experience in key opinion leader engagement
  • Experience in organization of educational events
  • Analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of local industry code of conduct and relevant legislation
  • Good understanding of national health care system and decision-making pathways in hospital and regional ecosystems

Desirable:

  • Experience with national reimbursement system and regional payers
  • Established contacts with opinion leaders in metabolic medicine
  • Experienced in Sales of Orphan Drugs and highly innovative products #LI-CK1  #LI-Remote
