Key Account Management
- Manage and grow relationships with top-tier clients in the medical device industry, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
- Develop tailored solutions for key accounts by leveraging services across all laboratories in Europe.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring seamless project execution.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell testing services, including biocompatibility, sterilization, regulatory compliance, and packaging testing.
Sales Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team of sales professionals in Germany to achieve revenue and performance targets.
- Set clear individual and team KPIs, monitoring performance and providing coaching as needed.
- Drive collaboration within the European sales team to create a unified approach to cross-border clients.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and pipeline reviews to track progress and ensure alignment with business goals.
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and EBITA targets for Germany and Europe.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to create proposals and deliver tailored presentations.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company and build relationships.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure the proper usage and alignment of the CRM system within the team, tracking leads, opportunities, and conversions.
- Report regularly on sales performance, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts to senior management.
- Coordinate closely with laboratory teams to ensure timely service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales or key account management, preferably in medical device testing, regulatory affairs, or a related scientific/technical field.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing successful sales teams.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in medical devices or regulatory fields are a plus.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to translate technical solutions into client benefits.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (fluent in German and English).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with EU MDR/IVDR, ISO 13485, and other regulatory frameworks is highly advantageous.
