Key Account Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager to join our team in Algeria. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with our most valuable clients, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Role purpose:

  • Develop KAM plan and align with each customer to deliver Sales Budget for the assigned Key Accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and effective forecasting, follow-up of the delivery and set corrective actions throughout the year. 
  • Effective collaboration with local partners and teams to ensure the achievement of Sales targets.
  • Establish high customer intimacy through understanding growers & channel needs and supporting customers to increase demand for Syngenta solutions.
  • Provide regular field reports to ensure on-time competition monitoring & build market intelligence, systematic recording of customer visits in SFDC & contribute to grower segmentation & influencers reporting.

Operational responsibilities:

  • Continually review the account's performance against business plans and ask contacts in your account to provide feedback on Syngenta's performance. 
  • promote Syngenta products at Distributor level to ensure the balance is achieved, in order to deliver business growth.  
  • Identifies, fosters, and maintains strong relationships with assigned and newly identified account contacts and effectively cultivates the support of Syngenta strategy and products.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust. 
  • Co-creates contingencies to achieve the goals of both organizations. 
  • Reinforce & focus on Syngenta Share of wallet at KAM level, perfect control of the portfolio, oriented towards earning a share of wallet with each customer. 
  • Building the forecast with customers & following up the orders & deliveries & payment
  • Follow up the stocks & Sales analysis with customers.
  • Collaborate with the cross functions team to support partners (Marketing, CPD, Finance,  Customer service)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Agri-business in Algeria
  • Extensive knowledge of crop agronomy, nutrition, and pest control practices
  • Proven track record in Key Account management and business development
  • Strong understanding of agricultural markets, channels, and Go-To-Market approaches
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluency in English and French (verbal and written)
