Key Account Manager - Careem Express

About Careem Express

Careem Express is a vertical within the Careem ecosystem – a startup within a startup. We are responsible for fulfillment and last-mile delivery for hundreds of merchants in a variety of industries including e-commerce, food, grocery and other areas. We are a small and passionate team that is building the next big vertical for Careem. 

Senior Account Executive

Senior Account Management Executive is at the core of Careem Express. You will deal with our existing clients, +we rely on you to build a strong pipeline for the wallet (pay as you go) segment, and move our business to the next level. You will also be responsible for growing small tier1, tier 2 and tier 3 demand in a sustainable way.  

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Business development - Acquire new accounts for wallet segment (prospecting, targeting, pitching, contract negotiations, go-live)
  • Achieve monthly GMV targets by onboarding new merchants
  • Build and manage relationships with clients  
  • Commercial understanding and handling negotiations with clients
  • Coordinate  with operations / logistics team internally for costing to make sure that the pitches are made at the right commercials

Profile requirements 

  • 3-4 years of sales/account management experience from food and non food aggregator, Ecommerce  or on-demand logistics industry
  • High performer – track record of generating revenue for businesses 
  • Business development mindset coupled with Operational detail orientation
  • Target oriented & Problem solver
  • Energetic and excited about joining a startup environment

Key Metrics for the role

  • GMV in $
  • % Gross Margin
