As a Junior Transfer Pricing Operation Manager, you will ensure that the transfer prices and financials of the assigned entities/territories are in line with the TP policy of the group:
- Monitor the profit level of Syngenta Group entities assigned to you:
- Closely collaborate with the local finance leaders to ensure the correctness of the figures and an optimal set up
- Gain a deep understanding of the key (profit) drivers by unit
- Gain a deep understanding of the Syngenta (tax) processes and strategies
- Agree intercompany gross margins, true-up/ true-downs and TP corrections
- Manage TP setting process on product level
- Support the global TP documentation process (including the validation of function and risk profiles of the units and financial analysis)
- Support various tax projects (e.g., provide financial analysis) and tax audits
- Support or perform Benchmark studies

- Ensure accurate TP and profits for the assigned entities/territories and proactively communicate findings to key stakeholders
- Monitor the profit of your entities:
- Review the function and risk profiles of the units
- Build up good knowledge of the key figures (IFRS and local GAAP) of the units in your scope
- Agree and initiate True-up/True-downs
- Execute pro-active TP corrections during the year
- Inform Head of TPO of incorrect profit levels in units during the year
- Support the implementation of measures to adjust the profit during the year
- Partner with key stakeholders in the units, the finance centers and the wider Tax department
- Inform Group Tax and Group Tax reporting about the operating income split by legal entity
- Support the Global Hub manager with the implementation of the IP and Hubbing principles
- Prepare the annual update of the local TP documentation of your entities under the guidance of the TP manager
- Perform benchmark studies and financial updates in collaboration with the other TP(O) managers
- Support Group Tax and the Global Hub Manager in further tax optimizations, tax audits and analysis
- Support the implementation of new Transfer Price concepts
- Review the hub and calculation rules of your units
- Support the the continous improvement and maintenance of the Syngenta TP Tool software:
- Help to test changes to the TP tool before they are implemented
- Inform and train users of the TP tool

You will be a great fit if you have:
- Finance degree (BSc/MSc), Tax or Accounting degree is an added bonus
- 3+ relevant years of experience in Financial accounting background
- Good understanding of IFRS and the differences between IFRS and local GAAP and tax returns
- Fluency in English
- Practical experience in analysis of financial data
- Excellent communication and motivation skills with all levels and disciplines within Syngenta’s international environment especially with the Finance contacts in the various legal entities
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritize and deliver under high time pressure
