Junior Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Systems Engineer with knowledge of the automotive sector (commercial vehicles in particular will be highly valuable). As a member of the Architecture team of the Applus IDIADA Group, your mission will be to establish new methodologies related to System Engineering for OEMs.


Your main responsibilities (shared with the rest of the System Engineering team), will be:

  • Requirement definition and management from vehicle to component level (Functional and non-functional approach)
  • Test case definition
  • Definition of vehicle breakdown structure

You will give support to the following areas, guaranteeing de methodology and traceability:

  • Inputs from stakeholders
  • Technical product definition (experts on the systems/functions)
  • Test and validation
  • Component owners
  • Manufacturing
  • Quality

The position is based in East of Lyon (Saint Priest / Venissieux), mostly at our client’s site.

Periodic visits to other IDIADA France offices as well as IDIADA main technical centre in Spain will be necessary for managerial reviews, trainings, and technical exchanges. Participation to client visits across Europe or worldwide could also be required.

Desired technical competencies

  • Ideally experience and/or education in engineering specialised in Industrials, Mechatronics, Electronics or Electronics.
  • At least 2 years’ proven experience in a system engineering role
  • Knowledge of Application lifecycle management tools (Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS, Vector PREEvision...)
  • System engineering tools and processes are highly valuable (MBSE, Rhapsody, SysML, ASPICE, AUTOSAR...)
