Junior Programmatic Operation Manager

This is a key role in the programmatic team for the UK’s leading parenting media owner, Mumsnet. We’re looking for a junior programmatic operations specialist with strong analytical skills to support and grow our programmatic advertising opportunities.

You’ll play a hands-on role in managing PMP/PG deals, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting data analysis, and contributing to key business projects such as audience targeting, ID solutions, consent management, and ad product development. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your expertise in the evolving programmatic landscape.

  • Programmatic Management: Assist in managing, monitoring, and optimising PMP/PG deals.
  • Partnership Coordination: Set up and organise meetings with partners, sharing updates on key product and demand opportunities.
  • Project Roadmap Maintenance: Contribute to maintaining our programmatic project roadmap and internal documentation.
  • Data Analysis & Maintenance: Support ad data requests, clean data sets, and assist with ongoing data analysis.
  • Implementation & Monitoring: Help check implementations, report issues, and troubleshoot ad-related technical problems.
  • Financial Support: Collaborate with the finance team to address billing discrepancies and provide support on revenue-related matters.
  • Reporting & Stakeholder Support: Generate ad hoc reports for the team, wider organisation, and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of operational and analytical skills and have foundational experience in programmatic advertising, either on the buy or sell side. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience:
    • Background in programmatic operations with an understanding of PG, PMPs, and programmatic advertising.
    • Proficiency with Google Ad Manager.
    • Familiarity with partner or account management.
    • Experience with data analysis, particularly using BI tools.
  • Skills:
    • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proficient with Excel and Google Suite (especially in pivot tables and charts).
    • Strong analytical and commercial skills.
    • Excellent communicator able to work well across teams and with external partners.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required)

  • Hands-on experience with wrapper or other on-site adunit troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with site analytics tools: e.g. Google analytics or Amplitude
  • Exposure to data visualisation platforms like Data Studio, Looker, or Adomik.
  • Understanding of publisher yield tactics and metrics (e.g., SPO, dynamic pricing, rCPM).
