Junior Production Artist

Our agency client, an independent branding firm creating meaningful connections through culture, conversation & design is looking a Junior Production Artist. The agency helps brand owners drive business results by creating authentic and remarkable visual brand stories that connect brands with consumers. This role is for you, if you have a passion for technical precision and practice at an excellent level in the Adobe CC but are looking to expand your knowledge and mastery of these apps. You have a desire to learn from, and be mentored by, the best technical leaders in the package design industry in a culture that encourages collaboration and respect. Imagining a team that is totally supportive. Hunting for an agency focused on excellence and client success.  What You'll Do:
  • Prepare digital production art files, which maintain the intended final print effect as represented by the client-approved design files.
  • Adhere to production art standards and workflow protocols for each client and their respective Prepress and Print vendors.
  • Position and reconstruct any necessary text, logos, low and high-res scans and graphic elements in accordance with the client-approved design files.
  • Prepare 3-D mock-ups in order to ensure all graphic elements are correctly positioned.
  • Provide direction to the Prepress vendors and printers regarding colours, desired photographic effects, and retouching requirements, low versus high resolution work etc. to ensure results are met.
  • Attend pre-production meetings to ensure proper project flow.
  • Assist in maintaining and promoting systems and protocols to optimize the efficiency of the studio.
  • Exercise time management skills to ensure smooth flow of business.
  • Archive completed work following studio protocols for a more useful, cleaner server. 
  • What You Bring:
  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or Visual Arts with or without related studio/ agency experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (CC) - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of other Apple software – Pages, Keynote, numbers, mail etc.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a virtual design environment.
  • Strong time management skills.
