As the company is expanding, we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and results-driven Junior Marketing Executive to join our growing team.

As a Junior Marketing Executive, you will be integral in executing our marketing strategy, ensuring that our brand is top-of-mind for customers in the building and renovation sector. You will collaborate with internal teams, facilitating activity across different channels to present engaging, data-driven digital content that showcases our products and maximises commercial opportunities across multiple our group of brands.

Your role will focus on creating and developing compelling content, for social media and email campaigns to engage new and existing customers.

Main duties:

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: email marketing, social media strategy and execution, content creation, data-driven and customer-centric marketing and collaboration across functional alignment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's digital presence, driving customer engagement and retention through creative, data-driven marketing efforts. Your ability to combine creativity with strategy will be key to ensuring we stand out in the competitive home improvement market.

  • Email campaign design: Conceptualise and create visually appealing, on-brand email campaigns that capture attention and drive action. Ensure all emails deliver clear, concise messaging according to our tone of voice to support conversions and foster brand loyalty.
  • Content creation: Work closely with the design team to produce digital content for various channels, including email and social media. Your content should resonate with the target audience, showcasing our products while providing value to customers. Leverage your understanding of our products and propositions to craft messaging that shifts customer behaviours, encourages loyalty, and reinforces business goals.
  • Video creation: Brief, develop, and produce high-quality, eye-catching videos for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube etc.) that drive engagement, re-engagement, and grow our follower base. Utilise trends and viral content formats to support business goals while staying true to our brand identity.
  • Video calendar management: Take ownership of the social media video content calendar. Including planning, scheduling, and considering performance on a regular basis. Ensure content align with seasonal promotions, product launches, and company-wide campaigns.
  • Social engagement: Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and customer feedback. Engage with followers and potential customers through comments, direct messages, and community management to increase interaction and brand affinity.
  • User generated content management: Identify and curate user generated content such as customer photos, reviews, and videos. Take ownership of product reviews approval process and share customer content across appropriate channels and teams.
  • A/B testing: Conduct regular A/B tests that inform email marketing business goals. Test subject lines, messaging, and layouts to continually improve email engagement and performance (click-through rates, conversion rates).
  • Performance tracking: Consider key metrics such as engagement rates, conversion rates (CVR), click-through rates (CTR), and database growth to inform on content creation. Proactively suggest improvements in creative execution, content format, and distribution methods to ensure we are maximising opportunities for engagement and conversion.
  • Targeted messaging: Understand customer personas and behaviours to create personalised, relevant marketing content according to brand tone of voice. Ensure all touchpoints—from emails to social media—deliver a seamless, customer-first experience that promotes retention. Personalise campaigns to fit the varying needs of builders, renovators, and DIY enthusiasts etc.
  • Team coordination: Work closely with brand and commercial teams to ensure all marketing activities align with the overall brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Feedback sharing: Actively participate in team meetings and business-wide conversations, discussing data-driven insights and campaign performance results. Suggest recommendations for improvements to capitalise on opportunities for growth.
  • Vendor coordination: Where necessary, liaise with external vendors (e.g. suppliers, social media influencers, designers) to ensure timely delivery of assets, content and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Financial accountability: Ensure owned marketing activities are executed within the approved budget. Assist with regularly reviewing spending to ensure resources are allocated effectively and propose budget adjustments when necessary.
  • Ownership of KPIs: Take personal accountability for your KPIs, feeding proactively into departmental KPIs such as sales growth, engagement metrics, and timely campaign delivery.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in digital marketing or e-commerce, with a solid understanding of email and social media marketing.
  • Strong creative skills with proven ability to create compelling content (visual and written) for email and social media.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a high-growth e-commerce or digital agency setting.
  • Interest in home improvement, DIY, or building and renovation.
  • Copywriting skills.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and data privacy legislation as it pertains to marketing.
  • Experience working with multiple brands or in a multi-brand environment.
  • Ability to use data to drive decision-making and optimise marketing performance.
