Junior IT Support Engineer

We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in IT who is enthusiastic and ready to learn and grow. Our ideal candidate will have a natural problem-solving ability, a hands-on approach, and a can-do attitude. They will work and report to the UK based IT & Security Manager to provide consistent and thorough support primarily to the London office (although some tasks will extend to the global user base).

Role

  • Assisting with the set-up of equipment for new starters, meetings, and system and maintenance tasks
  • Supporting hardware maintenance and updates
  • Keeping records of hardware and software
  • Providing face-to-face and remote support to staff, diagnosing, and troubleshooting issues on MacOS and Windows devices effectively and efficiently
  • Approaching technical issues methodically and logically, finding solutions using own initiative
  • Troubleshooting basic network issues in the office (wifi & switching)
  • Monitoring the internal ticketing system (freshservice)
  • Administering and troubleshooting Office 365 applications, including Outlook and Teams
  • Administration support to the IT & Security Manager (possibly extending to the IT Director)
  • Ensuring that tasks are prioritised and organised efficiently
  • Supporting management with any other duties that may arise
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, tools and relevant legislation
  • Contribute to the internal vision and goals of the business when needed

Requirements

  • Good proficiency troubleshooting issues on Mac and Windows operating systems
  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Google software and creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic experience with networking protocols and equipment such as firewalls, switches and access points (advantageous but not essential)
  • Understanding of basic laptop security (antivirus, firewall, scanning)
  • Audio/visual Product support – Teams, Zoom, Google + hardware
  • Work with minimal supervision using own initiative with a positive attitude
