The Red Gate Group is seeking a dedicated Junior IT Project Manager to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Washington, DC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to assist the government Program Manager in overseeing IT project planning, portfolio management, requirements evaluation, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will work on a range of project management tasks from coordinating milestones to monitoring performance, playing a pivotal role in supporting mission-critical IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Manager in planning, requirements management, and acquisition support for IT and portfolio management projects.
- Monitor cost, schedule, and performance, supporting all aspects of project development and implementation.
- Oversee project documentation and ensure the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), milestones, and deliverables are accurately tracked.
- Coordinate team meetings, communicate updates, and engage with stakeholders to confirm project concepts and maintain alignment with customer needs.
- Provide IT performance analysis and support in evaluating project requirements, tracking new project initiatives, and managing funding and contract reports.
- Must have an active/current TS/SCI and must pass a CI Poly.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience with a minimum subset of 7 of the years providing specialized experience with information technology
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training required.
- DoD and IC experience is desired.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Have excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent creative problem-solving skills.
