We are looking for an individual who has experience working within a service desk.

Purpose of the Job 

 The Role will be the front to keep a watchful eye over the endpoints that T-Tech manage, independently resolving issues as they arise and taking preventative steps to ensure many issues do not occur and perform proactive tasks that will include – Patching, Performing updates / Upgrades  to Servers, Workstations and Applications (Standard and Accountancy), performing maintenance tasks and software updates / upgrades to Servers, Network Devices, and Applications and Operating systems.   

 

The Junior Infrastructure will also be heavily involved in high-level security actions and backup and disaster recovery (BDR) efforts, ensuring 24x7x365 uptime for all T-Tech’s Customers. customer issues and to maintain proactively the customers’ infrastructure to ensure that it is robust, reliable, and fit for purpose. 

Your day to day will include the following:

Infrastructure

  • Platform – monitor, manage and improve the T-Tech & customer cloud services platforms to at least the minimum contracted levels outlined in the customer agreements incorporating, capacity, consumption, availability, and performance. 
  • Systems Admin – evaluate, deploy, and manage system management and improvement technologies and processes to drive efficiency and automation in a multi-tenant model. 
  • Monitoring and Managing Infrastructure health, Security, and capacity / Availability of T-Tech clients Environments.  
  • Proactive Infrastructure tasks and mini projects  
  • Maintenance Tasks   
  • Patching  
  • Software & Application Updates  
  • Network updates and Upgrades.  
  • Application Software installations, Troubleshooting  
  • Backup and Storage Management,  
  • Firewall Management  
  • AV Monitoring and management  
  • Maintain and putting in place IT Process Automation 
  • Perform Technical Audits and review with reporting and improvement recommendations.   
  • Improve tools and adjust thresholds and settings to better monitoring infrastructures.   

Major Incidents:  

  • In the event of a major incident, raise incidents as per process and follow investigation and escalation processes as expected. 

KPI’s:  

  • Work to agreed KPIs / OKRs as defined for the team. 

 Information Recording: 

  • Log client problem issues accurately and fully in the ITSM Tool  
  • Keep accurate records of time worked on issues in Company’s time recording system. 

 Customer Service: 

  • Always interact professionally with customers and colleagues, ensuring that the customer is fully satisfied with the service provided. 

 Personal and Team Development 

  • Proactively manage own personal development through passing of partner certification exams and constantly developing technical knowledge through on the job enquiry. 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have:

Previous service desk experience, we are looking for a minimum of 18 months.

Strong technical Microsoft experience

Great communication skills

Exceptional customer Service skills
