Our Finance Business Unit is currently seeking a Junior Financial Accounting and Tax Analyst to come join our dynamic and fast-paced Tāmaki-makau-rau/Auckland team!
About this team:
The national finance team is a passionate and collaborative team who are strongly committed to best practice and excellence. Split across 3 sub teams; Financial Services, Finance Operations and Business Partnering & Reporting, they are responsible for the firm’s national finance function.
This role within the Financial Services team is responsible for assisting the Financial Services Senior Manager in completing the firm’s tax returns, general tax compliance, Chief Tax Officer (“CTO”) compliance, assisting with the tax and accounting services provided to Partners, assisting in the management of the firm’s tax obligations on inbound and outbound assignments of Deloitte people and administering Partner remuneration and firm insurances.
Key to the success of the role is the ability to build credible relationships with internal clients, Partners, management and other Deloitte people. Integrity, efficiency and discretion are key qualities of the role.
This role reports directly to the Financial Services Senior Manager and works very closely with the Chief Tax Officer.
Your typical day will include:
· Assisting with the timely compilation and filing of all the firms’ tax returns
· Monitoring inter-firm people movements and reviewing inter-firm agreements
· Supporting the running of the Partner Tax Bureau by preparing financial statements, tax returns and filing
· Providing advice on a range of queries from the Business Units and other Deloitte member firms, and liaising with relevant tax experts
· Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders – the Partners!
· Global employer tax queries, CTO compliance and IRD correspondence
· Partner remuneration and administration
· General, life and travel insurances
· Team support and cover as required

What degree will you need?
Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting. Having taken the Tax paper as part of your Commerce degree is advantageous.
