About the Role


As a Junior Data Analyst, you’ll report to our Business and Finance Analyst, working collaboratively to translate data sets into insights and actionable items across the business. Your primary responsibilities will include utilising SQL and Power BI to extract and analyse data (we offer training for those new to these tools). We're looking for a candidate with a strong aptitude for quantitative analysis, so a commitment to continuous learning is essential.


Your main responsibilities will include:


  • Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyse detailed data sets for insights and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
  • Working with the Business and Finance Analyst to develop and maintain reporting dashboards and visualisation tools.
  • Document data analysis procedures, methodologies, and reliable results for future reference.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by senior team members or management, responding to urgent inquiries, or exploring new business opportunities through data analysis.


You will be based in our office in Jarrow with standard working hours of Monday to Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm, and Friday: 9:00am-3:00pm.
