Junior BI Analyst

As a Junior Analyst/BI Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Senior BI Analyst. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with data-related tasks that are critical to our Quality Assurance department. This role is designed for someone who is proficient in Excel and has a keen interest in data analysis and business intelligence. While your focus will be on data manipulation, cleaning, and visualization, you will also have the opportunity to develop workflows and documentation that will streamline our processes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management:

  • Collect, clean, and prepare data from various sources within the Quality Assurance department.
  • Maintain and update databases and spreadsheets related to product quality metrics.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in product quality.
  • Assist in creating visual reports and dashboards using Excel, and potentially Power BI, to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Support Senior BI Analyst:

  • Handle less complex data tasks to free up the Senior BI Analyst for more strategic work.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of workflows and documentation to improve department efficiency.

Documentation and Process Improvement:

  • Create and update documentation for processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility for team members.
  • Collaborate with the Senior BI Analyst to develop standardized workflows that enhance data consistency and reliability.
  • Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other teams within the Quality Assurance department to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide support during audits and quality checks by supplying necessary data and insights.

Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, cleaning, and visualization.
  • Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and their application in a business environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Power BI or a strong desire to learn it.
  • Basic understanding of the fashion retail industry, particularly in quality assurance.
  • Experience with workflow documentation and process improvement initiatives.
