We are looking for a Junior Android Engineer to join the Core Experience team, responsible for experiences in our main iOS and Android applications.
As part of the team, you will get the chance to provide platform components to serve our internal customers as well as delivering user facing experiences to consumers. This is a highly impactful role where you and the rest of the team will impact the way the world experiences audio!
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with a small, autonomous team of developers, designers, and product owners to find end-to-end solutions to important problems
- Implement these solutions for our Android client, adhering to Android development best practices
- Help your team solve problems in a way that makes sense for Android users and our codebase
- Join dozens of other developers and help to shape the direction of Android development at Spotify
Who You Are
- You hold a degree in computer science or similar subject and have at least 1+ years of working experience in a similar android engineering position
- You have an understanding of Android development
- Previous coding experience in object-oriented Kotlin
- You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code
- You have some knowledge of distributed systems, and be passionate about pairing programming practices and agile technologies
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
