Purpose:
This position is seeking a creative and flexible individual to help support the Production Planning activities for swing shift production support.
The Production Planner I will work to support Production Planning basic support. Which includes creating a production work-order, maintaining, and applying ECO and Deviations as required. This position will work directionally with Manufacturing, Warehousing, Incoming inspection, Quality and Supply Chain. This person needs to have strong organizational and note taking skills, as it will be supporting multiple manufacturing sites in North America during swing shift hours. The planner is also responsible for escalating production issues that can’t be address during swing shift.
Essential Duties:
- Support and maintain Product level shortage reports.
- Expedites operations or raw materials in support of production schedule objectives.
- Sustain standard work for production control & planning programs.
- Maintain department metrics, analyze trends and results.
- Support Engineering change order (ECO) implementation activities.
- Adhere to all manufacturing operating policies, guidelines and procedures. Comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Provides production interface for quality issues.
- Escalation of identified issues that may prevent the team from completing critical key manufacturing targets.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years of experience in a progressive manufacturing environment, 2 year degree preferred, experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry. Have the ability to operate in a regulated industry with working knowledge of ISO and regulatory restrictions. APICS certification a plus.
- Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of programs and MRP systems. SAP and Agile experience preferred.
- Presents ideas effectively in formal and informal situations. Conveys thoughts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to communicate in a succinct and organized manner, appropriate for context, time and place.
- Flexible: adaptable and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Required to be bilingual in Spanish and English to include reading and writing.
