We are seeking a Product Owner to join our Product Team and drive the development and enhancement of our internal platforms. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Product and work closely with our Product Management and Development teams to ensure seamless delivery of proprietary software improvements, system optimizations, and third-party integrations. You will collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, define user stories and epics, and support Agile development efforts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and manage user stories and epics that clearly define business and technical requirements for development teams.
- Lead the requirements gathering and refinement process, ensuring that functional and non-functional requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and approved by stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure a smooth and efficient development process.
- Document integration requirements, workflows, and testing procedures, ensuring proper records are kept for future reference.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-release validation to ensure successful deployment of new features and system enhancements.
- Work closely with stakeholders across engineering, sales, marketing, customer success, finance, and executives for alignment on development priorities.
- Collaborate with the PMO on strategic planning, identifying opportunities that align with business objectives and improve system capabilities.
- Assist with product intake activities inclusive of evaluation, initial approvals, and placement.
- Assist with troubleshooting post-release issues for efficient resolution.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner or similar role within an Agile/Scrum environment, ideally in Fintech or financial services.
- Demonstrated success in managing product development efforts, including feature enhancements, API integrations, and system automations.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly developers, to ensure the technical feasibility of platform improvements.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable requirements.
- Analytical and innovative problem-solving abilities, coupled with a passion for continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.Experience with Atlassian suite products required (JIRA, Confluence, Trello, etc.)
- Familiarity with API integration tools or platforms (such as Postman or similar) is a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred but not required
- Scrum certifications preferred.
