We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Jr Network Engineer to join our growing team in Los Angeles. As a Jr Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure, to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Implement and maintain network security measures
- Collaborate with senior engineers on network design and upgrade projects
- Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery operations
- Document network configurations and maintain up-to-date network diagrams
- Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 network availability
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in network engineering or a related field
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Basic knowledge of network security principles and best practices
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic scripting abilities in Python or Bash
- Experience with network monitoring tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- CompTIA Network+ certification preferred
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred
