We are growing and looking for a Junior Network Administrator to join our Cyber Security team. In this role you will support networking, data center operations, servers and services, remote access, virtualization, and workstation management. This is a great position to learn and grow in your career.
The work will be onsite in our Tysons Corner, VA office.
What you will do:
- Assist with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all data center infrastructure
- Assist with the development of new infrastructure plans, upgrade planning, and other future system designs as needed to support the enterprise
- Monitoring, analyzing, and resolving hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion as ability allows
- Work and problem solve independently escalating problems as needed
- Work in close cooperation with Security, Facilities, and Operations teams
- Maintain documentation of systems, problem resolutions, and instructions
What you will need:
- Six months+ experience working with systems in a data center environment: Servers, Racks, Cable Management, etc.
- General comfort in various Linux and Windows environments
- General understanding of the components of a small business server room
- Understanding of common industry terminology
- Knowledge and understanding of IP Traffic: routing, NAT, etc.
- Interest in keeping abreast of emerging technologies and/or better ways to “build things”
What we would like for you to have:
- Linux systems experience is highly desirable
- Network Device system experience such as Unifi or Vyos
- Familiarity with virtualization (hypervisors and VMs)
- Comfort using a text console to work on systems
- DoD TS clearances are preferred. If uncleared, eligibility and willingness to obtain a government clearance is required.
