We are seeking a Jr-Mid level Data Analyst for a direct hire role in Englewood, CO.  This role will be onsite/ in the office Monday- Friday (no remote options available).  

 

In this role, you will be managing the competitive intelligence and pricing investigation of assigned products and divisions.  You will use that information to drive strategy for multiple groups and coordinating with other members of various teams such as:  Finance, Product, and  Deployment, on internal inputs and model creation / automation, Operations on tool and billing system updates, and Marketing, BD, Sales, and Account Management on price changes and updated intelligence. 

Responsibilities of this role are as follows:  

  • Establish a broad understanding of pricing and competitive positioning for product and marketing development across the country
  • Develop a key understanding of the product, and information ecosystem, including its key goals, functions, data sources, database, salesforce environments, analytical functions, reporting responsibilities, and stakeholder teams
  • Data exploration and aggregation, as well as database design, and system integration
  • Identify key markets to target for Marketing, Business Development, and Sales 
  • Propose enhanced approaches to financial modeling to create industry-leading automated and scalable pricing 
  • Partner with internal teams to understand internal cost structures and opportunities to streamline, reduce costs, and create other efficiencies
  • Work with internal stakeholders, IT, and leadership to develop and integrate pricing into existing processes to enhance scalability and visibility
  • Define financial and performance metrics that are independent, holistic, accurate, encourage the right behaviors, and that are aligned with company strategy and objectives
  • Develop connections to source systems, build extraction and transformation jobs, and model data with Python, Excel, salesforce, and/or Tableau
  • Manage the data governance and security of the Business Analytics team’s pricing data to ensure continuity and historical records
  • Proactively identify and surface opportunities to improve efficiencies, sales conversions, revenue generation, operations, communication, systems & tools, etc.
  • Perform analysis, forecasting, and visualization to provide insights and make business recommendations
  • BA/BS in a business or STEM field with 2-5 years of comparable experience or MA/MS in a Business or STEM field or comparable experience with 1-3 years of experience. Preferred degrees would be in Computer Science, Finance, Analytics,  or Information Technology
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Data Analyst / Scientist
    • Reporting Analyst / Developer
    • Business Intelligence Analyst
    • Business Operations Analyst
  • 2+ years of experience in two or more of the following:
    • SQL
    • Python- required 
    • Salesforce
    • Tableau
  • Knowledge of core statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques including basic data modeling, trend analysis, root-cause analysis, or other similar techniques 

  • Understanding of and experience with geographic grouping and regionalizing studies and techniques, including economic geography, spatial grouping, multivariate clustering, or other similar techniques

  • Experience with report/dashboard development, data/report automation, data design and integration, and data quality and governance 

  • Experience in change management and/or working within a rapidly evolving business

  • Strong Microsoft Office & Google Suite skills – Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, and PowerPoint/Slides for presenting to leadership and other stakeholders

  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of internal customer needs and how to create and utilize backend systems, analysis, automation, and visualization to support them

  • Self-starter, curious, accountable, enjoys a healthy level of autonomy, strong work ethic, able to succeed in a fast-paced, high-intensity entrepreneurial-like business environment

  • Comfortable interacting will all levels of business people. Proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude and is comfortable prioritizing and balancing workloads. Knows when to check in with management

This direct hire will be located in the south Denver area and will work onsite/in the office Monday-Friday during normal business hours.
